We’ve just finished a new plugin: one that integrates the image resize script TimThumb with TinyMCE, the WYSIWYG editor that WordPress uses.
You can download it here via the official WordPress repository.

hey, great idea for a plugin. I installed it however and the tiny resize button isn’t appearing in the editor. Something I am doing wrong? Followed the installation instructions to a T and no dice. :/
WP 2.8.4
Hmm…. That’s strange.. did you use the Visual Editor…. it doesn’t work in the HTML editor!
I am not entirely sure how image editing will work in WordPress 2.9, but a bunch of features are being added. Do you think this plug-in will still be necessary with the new feature set?
Probably not… but we needed this plugin right now for a project. So Gabriel built it
I’m experiencing the exact same problem as Ryan. No resize button among the tool icons in my Wordpress admin (2.8.4). Any ideas?
This is odd. I have no idea why it doesn’t work for some people… Did you try deactivating all other plugins?
Same problem …
Am dat disable la toate pluginurile si tot nu merge …
sigur nu are nevoie de ceva ?
Cam atata stim.
nici la mine nu apare iconita #-o
I’m having the same problem, if you find a fix for this please let me know as I really like the idea, and would like to use the plug-in.
Thank you.
Same Problem of it not showing up. I’m running wordpress 2.9.1
It looks like it would be a great plugin.
thanks for the plugin, it’s very convenience for images management.
nice to hear it actually works for some…
Hello,
nice idea and plugin. Thanks for your hard work.
so I can´t use it.
Only it doesn´t work with my WP 2.9.2
In sitll hope this plugin becomes a uptime just in time.
I don’t know… This plugin exhibited some really weird behavior from the beginning. It worked for some and did not work for others.
Fact is we needed it for a project, and it worked for us, so we also released it to the public domain…
Anyhow, since the image processing features in WordPress 2.9, TimThumb is no longer really necessary, and the same can be said about all plugins using it.
doesn’t work with wp3 either, any chance of an update?
thanks,
This plugin isn’t supported anymore because starting with WordPress version 2.9 this functionality already exists built in the core. Have a look at this url for an example:
