We’ve just finished a new plugin: one that integrates the image resize script TimThumb with TinyMCE, the WYSIWYG editor that WordPress uses.
You can download it here via the official WordPress repository.

hey, great idea for a plugin. I installed it however and the tiny resize button isn’t appearing in the editor. Something I am doing wrong? Followed the installation instructions to a T and no dice. :/
WP 2.8.4
Hmm…. That’s strange.. did you use the Visual Editor…. it doesn’t work in the HTML editor!
I am not entirely sure how image editing will work in WordPress 2.9, but a bunch of features are being added. Do you think this plug-in will still be necessary with the new feature set?
Probably not… but we needed this plugin right now for a project. So Gabriel built it
I’m experiencing the exact same problem as Ryan. No resize button among the tool icons in my WordPress admin (2.8.4). Any ideas?
This is odd. I have no idea why it doesn’t work for some people… Did you try deactivating all other plugins?
Hi there,
After upgrade, and I’m currently using WordPress 3.1. The WYSIWYG or Visual tool is not showing. I disabled all the plugins but still not showing but after I disable your plugins it came back. I also tried to edit the wp-config as what the instructions said here: http://wordpress.org/support/topic/troubleshooting-wordpress-31-master-list and still nothing.
I tried also to rename the language in the tiny folder but still not working. The only working is to disable your plugins which I can’t do that because I need all my post with image to be crop proportionally, can anyone help please?
Thanks in advance and more power!
Hi Jamir,
Unfortunately this plugin isn’t supported any more. Please use the default WordPress resize functionality. http://codex.wordpress.org/Media_Add_New_SubPanel#Edit_Image
